Experienced Lead Carpenter
Job Description:
Henn and Son’s Construction is a reputable and long-standing construction company committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. From kitchens and bathrooms to large industrial buildings, we take pride in our ability to provide quality service to our customers’ workplaces and homes. We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team and help lead projects with precision, professionalism, and leadership.
Position Summary:
As a Lead Carpenter, you will play a critical role in the successful completion of various types of projects, from residential maintenance projects to large scale new builds. You will manage job site operations, oversee laborers and subcontractors, ensure high-quality workmanship, and maintain project timelines. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical skills, the ability to solve problems in the field, and a dedication to safety and detail.

- Lead and perform all phases of carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Manage on-site teams including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, concrete finishers, laborers, and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to company quality standards
- Communicate progress and updates with project managers and clients
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness
- Identify and resolve field challenges in collaboration with the project team
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong understanding of the general construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficient with hand and power tools, and comfortable working on ladders or in tight spaces
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
